Safety

Safety

0ur ziplines are 100% safe. The Petzl “Newton” harness and Petzl helmet worn by passengers are made by a specialist in outdoor gear, that we specially imported from France. We use the toughest steel for our dual zipline operations and the rigging for our platforms & bridges.
Twin ziplines run parallel to each other. Passengers will be attached to both ziplines separately to ensure absolute safety. When walking around platforms, abseiling down from a platform or walking on any of our specially-designed bridges, the passengers' harness will be hooked into a steel safety cable at all times. This ensures absolute safety for all our adventurers.
We have an unblemished safety record that we're proud of. Nonetheless, for those little scrapes and bruises, we have a first-aid center at our base camp too.

About Us

About Us

Eagle Track is a community-based tourism operator. Our zipline Eco adventure is operated in a co-operative manner with the Ethno-ecoagricultural Livelihood Conservation Group in Baan Wang Hang, Maeram.
Tombol Maeram in the Maerim district, is the location for our zipline adventure, which is less than one hours' drive from Chiang Mai's city center. Near to our base camp, you can see the Maeram river with the paddy fields being farmed nearby with crops of rice, soy beans or egg plants being grown or harvested.

Three villages are situated close-by, one near the base camp, another is up the hillside to our Silver package starting point and the third one is further up the road to our Gold package starting point. The local villagers have received full training in how to operate our zipline adventure safely and work together closely to ensure smooth & safe operation at all times. We have a perfect safety record.

We care greatly for the local environment and sustainability of the forest & jungle in the three local villages in MaeRam. A program of replanting has commenced to ensure the longevity of this green space. We are also monitoring the hillside area to make sure that the earth banks and the paths around the villages are not eroded or damaged by the increased foot-traffic from our travelers.

Eagle Track provides sustained employment, lodgings for local staff near the base camp, as well as all meals for our local Hmong & Karen hill tribe people involved in zipline operations. We are pleased to be able to support the local people with improved employment opportunities within the communities that they love so much.

Silver package

Silver package
Packages price : 1,600 ฿
Silver package is our “get your feet wet” zipline Eco adventure. Whipping fast through the air on ziplines, with the jungle on both sides as you fly by, you will leave the busy world behind and immerse yourself deep in the jungle. Around the zipline course are platforms suspended high up in the trees, with the spectacular jungle view surrounding you and paddy fields along the MaeRam river far below. These are the take off point and landing zone for many of our ziplines. For some other platforms there are bridges and steps that are used to traverse between platforms. Our “Kung Fu Steps” are our homage to martial artist Bruce Lee, where you can step, or almost hop, from one step to the next until you reach the next platform at the other side. As with all activities with Eagle Track, safety is the number one priority, so for our bridges you will be hooked into a safety cable that runs above you. That way you can have fun without worrying about falling down. From one platform you have choice whether to descend using a spiral staircase or to take the faster route and abseil down instead! The abseiling is performed while you are hooked into a safety cable with the rate of descent carefully controlled by our staff. Our “Zig-zag walkway” is a unique invention made of wooden planks that zig zag across to gradually make their way to the next platform. The Zig-zag bridge sways and bounces around as you cross, making this a fun or scary crossing, depending on how much you can get into the swing of things. The adventure ends with a walk across our 50 meter bamboo bridge, carefully constructed with interwoven bamboo slats, and up past the impressive waterfall to our restaurant just above it. Also included with the Silver package is the round-trip transfer from Chiang Mai, a lunch at our Waterfall's Edge restaurant and refreshments.
